Handbook Changes

We have a few minor changes to the student handbook, that will be proposed at the July School Board meeting. Leading up to that, I would like to, first, get your feedback. Please take a look below, and then send in some comments.

Proposed Changes:

Prairie Grove Junior High School
Handbook Revisions

1. Athletic Eligibility: (Addition) "During the first week of each quarter the reported grades will be the final grades from the previous quarter, so that quarterly grades may be appropriately established."

2. Cell Phone Use: (Addition) "Cell phone usage is not permitted during the school day in any way (phone calls, text messages, pictures) unless given explicit permission from faculty members."

3. Grading/Reports: (Addition) "As of 2010-11, we will no longer send home paper reports for midterm. Grade reports can be requested from the office at any time."

4. Bus Behavior: (Title Addition) BUS BEHAVIOR: (ALL PRAIRIE GROVE BUSES ARE VIDEO MONITORED FOR SAFETY)

5. After School Activities: (Omission) "At school events, it needs to be noted that only current Prairie Grove students who are eligible to attend the event are allowed to attend."

6. After School Activities: (Addition) "Students may leave school and return for games, or choose to remain at the school under the supervision of event supervisors in a designated classroom."
